Persian Cat Supply List
We have gathered together a list of our favorite supplies and products for Persian cats. Most of the products on the following list come from Pet Edge, House of An-Ju, Petsmart, Petco, Drs. Foster & Smith, 1-800-PetMed, and Purrinlot. We prefer to order most our cat supplies on-line as it saves time and quite a bit of money. Have fun with your new Persian cat or Persian kitten.

- Water bottles- I absolutely love this product. It helps keep the Persian coat beautiful longer by avoiding water stains and spills on the chin and neck area.
- Metal combs- I prefer the ones that are static free. Get a coarse/medium toothed comb and also get a fine tooth comb for the face

Water Bottles
- Water Bottles by Aquarius Products (also known as "BottleBabies"). I absolutely love this product. It helps keep the Persian coat beautiful longer by avoiding water stains and spills on the chin and neck area.

* Clean Start - A Clarifying Shampoo ---
Start your bath with this shampoo. This will remove any build-up and de-grease your cat. Use weekly or monthly based upon your cat's coat and grooming needs.*(by Chris Christensen Systems)

For White Coats only -
* F1R2 White Shampoo ---
This shampoo is deep purple in color and will take the yellow out of white coats and make black coats have a natural high-light glow. After bathing and blow drying place pet under bright lights and each hair shaft will gleams as if small diamonds are on the hair. We only want breeders to dilute 1 to 1 part water so that the pet will benefit from the violet dyes in the product. Do not use this product on coats that have been bleached.

* F1R2 Texturizing Shampoo --- When texture and body is needed this shampoo should be used as the last bath for show coat grooming. The active ingredient in this product is COALIAL OATMEAL. We also recommended that a conditioner should not be used with this product. Conditioner should be used in between show coat bathing to reduce the chances for dry hair.
* F1R2 Coat Conditioner ---
This product saves breeders a lot of money! Used in full strength this conditioner will make long hair swing in the wind. Apply full strength to a dry matted hair area and let set for 3 to 5 minutes then gently rake out any mattes. For show coat results dilute 1:12 part water shake and apply after final shampoo, rinse and dry. The coat will feel like mink. To remove static on dry hair at the show dilute 1:20 and spray as you would for an anti static.

- EZ Groom - Crystal White - do not use on entire cat. Use only for the paw area where discolored from washing eyes and around/underneath the tail
For Black Coats only -
* 12 oz Bio-Groom Ultra Black Dog Shampoo --- This special formula contains pearlescent brighteners to intensify black, blue, and other dark colored coats. (I know this says "dog", but this is okay for use on cats also.) - House of An-Ju *

- Ultra Swim Shampoo - local drugstore - for black cats who have reddened up. Rinse this product thoroughly from the cat's coat.
For Red Coats only -

- Vitacoat Charbon - order on-line as this product is made in the UK - add 1 cap per sink full of water.
Dilutes and other colors that you want to bring out the bars in the color of the coats -
- Nutrogena Clean Balancing Shampoo - this will help to bring out the "bars" in the coat color.
Face Shampoo
- Baby shampoo - any brand. Dilute the baby shampoo to about 20% shampoo to 80% water. Use a soft toothbrush for washing the face.
Don't forget you can use human shampoos for body and volume (i.e., Aussie, Nexus or Willow Lake).
