Thank you for visiting the Pelaqita Persians' web site and reviewing our privacy policy. Our privacy policy is clear: we do not collect personal information unless it is provided by the customer we are seeking to assist or on the application for wait-list purposes, the contact form, or provided to us by someone applying for an award. Immediately after resolving the customer's concerns, the privacy information is either purged or, if requested by you by opting-in to our email list for specific information, securely kept to permit us to periodically communicate with you about upcoming litters, Persian cat information or other useful, timely information for Persian kitten owners. As soon as information is submitted to us via the forms and submitted to us via E-mail, such application or form is printed out. We do NOT share our customer list with any third parties and always provide a means for you to opt-out of our mailing list.

This site is provided to the public as a service to our customers by Pelaqita Persians.

Information presented on PelaqitaPesians.com is considered proprietary information and may not be distributed or copied without permission from Pelaqita Persians.

For site management, information is collected for statistical purposes. This computer system uses software programs to create summary statistics, which are used for such purposes as assessing what information is of most and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas.

Additionally, this site utilizes a site counter that lets us see our web site traffic (see item 2, below). We do not share this information with anyone else, it is strictly for our purposes in monitoring our web site.

Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits. Raw data logs are used for no other purposes and will be scheduled for regular destruction.

Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act.

Cookie Disclaimer - Pelaqita Persians does not currently use cookies (persistent tokens that pass information back and forth from the client machine to the server).

If you choose to sign and submit any content in our Guest Book, this information will be visible to all the other guests. Please be aware that due to our concern with children and COPPA, all entries to our Guest Book will be previewed by us prior to posting on our site. We reserve the right to edit and/or delete any entry from our Guest Book. This is to ensure that no profanity or inappropriate material can be posted on our site.

C.O.P.P.A.

C.O.P.P.A. stands for the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. It is applicable to all web sites maintained on a server in the United States. More importantly, it is applicable to this site. Basically, it states that we (the web site) cannot collect any personal information - name, address, telephone number, or E-mail address - from any child under the age of 13.

As a mother and grandmother we take children's privacy seriously. While Pelaqita Persians does not cater to children under the age of 18 (as they cannot legally enter into a contract of sale), we understand that cats and kittens are something children are interested in and our web site is one that children under the age of 13 may come across while surfing the web. In an effort to do our part to protect the privacy of children using the internet, as well as to be in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), it is Pelaqita Persians' policy to refrain from the collection, use or disclosure of personal information from persons under the age of eighteen (18). While we do not correspond nor do business with people under the age of 18, we recognize that does not prevent an underage child from contacting us.
