Thank you for visiting the Pelaqita Persians' web site and reviewing our privacy policy. Our privacy policy is clear: we do not collect personal information unless it is provided by the customer on the application for wait-list purposes, the contact form, or provided to us by someone applying for an award. As soon as information is submitted to us via a form provided to us by Bravenet.com and submitted to us via E-mail, such application is printed out and the information is purged from our computer.
Additionally, this site utilizes a site counter that lets us see our web site traffic (see item 2, below). We do not share this information with anyone else, it is strictly for our purposes in monitoring our web site.
We do NOT share our customer list with any third parties.
This site utilizes some third-party resources (i.e., Bravenet guest book, Bravenet forms, PayPal, and Stat Counter) which may have a different Privacy Policy than our own. Therefore, if you are going to use our site and utilize or sign our Guest Book and forms, please be aware that those service providers may use your E-mail for marketing purposes. C.O.P.P.A.
C.O.P.P.A. stands for the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. It is applicable to all web sites maintained on a server in the United States. More importantly, it is applicable to this site. Basically, it states that we (the web site) cannot collect any personal information - name, address, telephone number, or E-mail address - from any child under the age of 13.
As a mother and grandmother we take children's privacy seriously. While Pelaqita Persians does not cater to children under the age of 18 (as they cannot legally enter into a contract of sale), we understand that cats and kittens are something children are interested in and our web site is one that children under the age of 13 may come across while surfing the web. In an effort to do our part to protect the privacy of children using the internet, as well as to be in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), it is Pelaqita Persians' policy to refrain from the collection, use or disclosure of personal information from persons under the age of eighteen (18). While we do not correspond nor do business with people under the age of 18, we recognize that does not prevent an underage child from contacting us.
